Match the request to the Sumter County or Florida custodian that holds it:
- Court files: use the criminal case record routes or speak with the Clerk for the court that handled the matter
- Personal Review and statewide history: use the Florida Department of Law Enforcement
- Sheriff arrests and jail bookings: ask the SCSO Criminal Records Division
- Incident or police reports: request the document from the law-enforcement agency that prepared it
- Wildwood police material: contact Wildwood Police rather than SCSO for the source report
- Sealing or expunction: obtain FDLE eligibility materials before filing with the court of original jurisdiction

For criminal court files, contact the Sumter County Clerk’s Criminal Record Search line at 352-569-6992 or visit the Judicial Center, 215 E. McCollum Avenue, Bushnell, FL 33513. Clerk counters generally operate weekdays from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m., excluding posted holidays.
